Boss's Day Card

Did everyone remember their Boss's today? I created this card for my Boss using the September Kit from Creating Inspirations. They have an awesome kit club!
Ingredients for the card: CI September kit plus a Cloud 9 chipboard letter, AC button and DCWV rubbons.

Pumpkin Patch

We found a new pumpkin patch in Loveland, OH. It is about 30 minutes from our home. It's called Blooms & Berries (which happens to be the names of their goats). They had so many great activities for the kids...and I had fun too. They ran through a hay maze, fished for pumpkins...Alysa caught two, played various bean toss games, kids golf. Alysa loved petting the goats. We picked out a wagon full of pumpkins and mums for the yard. Their most favorite part was the huge bin of dried corn...yes real corn. They had a blast trying to bury their hands a feet. We tried apple cider and homemade carmel apples. Brenden insisted on painting a couple of the pumpkins after dinner tonite...so we did. No problem getting them to bed tonite;). What a great day! These pictures will be fun to scrap! Click on pictures to enlarge!

Alysa's Birthday Cake!! Our April Fool's Girl!!

Alysa wanted a My Little Pony birthday cake. Grandma Merkel made her special cake complete with ponies and glitter. Alysa kept asking "for me?" when we had her open all her presents. She really loved her talking doll and of course the Dora pick-up truck and pony stable. She and Brenden played all day with her new toys!! What a great day!!!

Alysa's 3rd Birthday--Fun at Build a Bear!

We took Alysa and Brenden to Build a Bear for Alysa's Birthday! They had so much fun picking out an animal and the clothes! Alysa chose a pink kitty with a pink sequin dress, collar and rhinestone sandals. Yes, she is our little princess...how sweet your are!!! Brenden chose a teddy bear dressed in Cleveland Cavaliers uniform with high tops. They have so much fun together!! They really liked using the computer there to make a birth certificate and name their new friends.
What fun it is to be three!!

Baby Brayden

This is an altered paint can I made for a friend's new baby boy...filled with tiny clothes...very fun to make!!!

Brenden's 5th Birthday Party!!

We had his party at Sports of all Sorts with family and friends. We played basketball, arcarde games and the kids loved the tube playground. The kids went non-stop. Alysa went to sleep in the early evening after the party and slept through the nite. Brenden had a wonderful time and wants to have his next party at the same place. Grandma Merkel made the Power Ranger cake. Here are some fun pics of the event.

Altered Purse Photo Book

I used red, cream & black Foofala papers and ribbons; cardstock, cricut, Heidi Swapp stamp, MM flower and jewels, Art Warehouse stamps, BE purse and scrapbook.

Bathtub Fun!!

Brenden and Alysa have the most fun taking a bubble bath. Alysa brought Polly pocket and a dinosaur into the tub tonight. Brenden brought in some s--t---r--e--t--c---h--y lizards. Alysa tries to pour water on Brenden's head and back with a cup....he says "Alysa..stop!" SHE CONTINUES AS IF SHE NEVER HEARD HIM> THEN GIGGLES. Eventually, Brenden will join in and we are all getting splashed...so much fun to hear them laugh. Tomorrow will be having Brenden's Birthday party at Sports of All Sports.

Brenden's Birthday Party at School!!

Today I worked a half day. After work, I went the kid's school and took cupcakes, juice and giftbags for Brenden's birthday!! His class is 4-5 year olds. Alysa got to come in for the party.
All the girls were so eager to help pass the goodies out. Brenden seemed a little embarassed when we all sang happy birthday....his teacher allows them to stand on their chair with her hugging him during the song. Very adorable.
The favorite thing was the sucker rings...kids really liked those.
Brenden was also excited that I was able to get there earlier than normal...so then we went home after the party. Alysa pretty much stuck by my side, carrying her treat bag.
I can't believe The B Man in five!!!

Grandma & Pancakes!!

Today was one of those days that we needed to surprise visit Grandma! We visited her after work/school and went to Perkins for the infamous "Teddy Bear" Pancakes. Brenden is eating like a horse the past couple of days...I guess to make up for last week when he was sick!! Alysa is talking so much lately and winning the hearts of everyone!!
Tomorrow, I am going to take cupcakes to the school to celebrate Brenden's birthday. He told me earlier this week "mom, when are we taking cupcakes? You know I already told some of my friends that we were gonna have cupcakes for my birthday". Yes, he is a little charmer. He gets excited beyond belief for his birthday celebrations.
This Saturday we are going to have his party with family and a few friends. Going to a sports center and playing basketball and games for the afternoon. Lots of pictures to take this week. I will post new pics as available!!
