Well we've had fairly cold and rainy weather here, but we've been busy going to see some new movies, spring cleaning, playing, celebrating Alysa's 7th birthday and crafting. Alysa has been painting, gluing and glittering. Brenden has been gaming, watching March Madness and playing basketball when there is any glimpse of sunshine. I've been making my "SheArt" girls and wedding shower invitations! Check it out!
This is my first "She Art" creation after taking the best online class from Christy Tomlinson at Scarlet Lime. It is a mixed media art class that is full of fun ideas for making these gorgeous girls! If you have time, you really should take the class!
This little beauty is another "She Art" girl I made this week. I made this for Alysa and I tried to make it look like her! It says "Oh, the places you'll go!" I got the idea for this one from a fellow classmate in the "She Art" class!
This is the wedding shower invitaton that my sister and I have been working on this week for our cousin. It turned out so cute, we hope she likes it. The first photo is the front of the card and the gorgeous flower is actually a bracelet that my talented sister made this week! I hope she makes me one soon..ha ha hint hint! The second photo is a peek of the inside of the invitation.
Thanks for stopping by and peeking into my world this week.

Remember When...
I made this scrapbook for a lady that works in our department. Her name is Alola! She has been a head cook in our hospital for the past 40 years. She is retiring this week. The scrapbook has lots of photos that co-workers had from over the years. I love the photo of her taken about 30 years ago! She is a great person and wonderful cook! She will be missed very much! Our department purchased her a camera as one of her going away gifts...since she does not own a camera. My wish is that she will have time to take all the pictures she desires now.Credits: Almost too many to list:) The book is from Scenic Route; Pink Paislee pp's and alphas; Hambly rubons; PTI Mega Mixed Messages sentiments stamps, Rasberry Fizz ink and ribbon, New Leaf ribbon, Star Prints stamps, Fancy Flourishes stamps, Butterfly Kisses stamps; Danielle Johnson stamps; HS damask sticker, butterfly mirror, bling crown and frame; misc. other crystals; Stampin' Up organza ribbon pink and green; Rhonna Farrer digital frames and quotes; misc retirement poems found on the internet; prima flowers and crystals; Office Depot green metal rings.
I love the new PTI stamps: Star Prints and Fancy Flourishes!!!

Dawn McVey Color Challenge

UPDATE: I received honorable mention for this project in the Guest Star Stamper June contest at Papertrey Ink...check it out here. I'm so thrilled!! I'm on a roll with these Timeless Templates from Lauren Meader! For me, they seem to get easier the more I do them;) Dawn McVey is having a color challenge this week...so I made a lunch pail in her color scheme. I have to say, this color scheme really stumped me at first. I ended up with something that I really like! It feels good to go out of the comfort zone. I played around with differnt inks and glitters that I had available. I used the Palette pink to stamp on the bitty dots paper and it gave a wonderful soft look. The colors are a little more vibrant IRL...took the photos outside and the sun was VERY bright! Click on the picture to get a more detailed view. TFL!

Perfect for any type of gift giving...including birthdays!!! Other Credits: MM Lauren Boho Chic pp's; purple cardstock; JBS butterflies; Prima flowers and center kisses; PTI- vintage cream grosgrain ribbon and sentiment (Mega Mixed Messages); brads unknown; Tools-threading water punch, round scallop punch, scor-pal tape; BG magnetic closure; Aqua Marine Shimmerz paint (painted the Prima flowers).
